Get Involved

Boy paintingEvery adult is in a position to have a positive impact on children who may be victims of abuse. You can make a difference! Here are several ways to get involved:

  • Learn the signs of abuse. Be informed, and share with others what you know about the signs of abuse and how to report abuse. Helping individuals. recognize the signs, and how to report, is one of the best ways to protect a child.

  • Report Abuse when it’s suspected.

  • Volunteer with your local CAIC, or serve on their Board of Directors. Encourage friends and others you know to donate or volunteer to their local centers.

  • Donate to The Network, or to your local Child Abuse Intervention Center.

  • Call your State Legislators, and encourage continued funding of the Child Abuse Multidisciplinary Intervention Account Funding (CAMI) to support the work of multidisciplinary teams and child abuse intervention centers throughout the state.

  • Contact your United States Congressman and ask for their support of federal funds, such as the Victims of Child Abuse Act, which support the work of child advocacy, and child abuse intervention centers across the country.
